This rigorous manual puts you in the real big boys' tough play yard. It covers the latest accepted standard, C99 (1999). Much easier to use as a development environment than the old C++ Turbo (DOS), (C++ Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) also run C), is Dev-C++ (Windows) from bloodshed.net - just hit F9 and you've compiled, assembled & run. The only problem: on my used copy of the manual, the publisher wouldn't allow me to access the code-file downloads (1-time redemption only), and wouldn't reply to my e-mail request for a new download key.
