Use of chemical pesticides expanded greatly in this century, at first slowly and then, following the launching of DDT as a broadly successful insecticide, with rapidly increasing momentum. In 1979, the President's Council on Environmental Quality reported that production of synthetic organic pesticides had increased from less than half a million pounds in 1951 to about 1.4 billion pounds-or about 3000 times as much-in 1977.

Recklessly in Love with Ian and Kenzie!!!!

Reckless Love is book two in the Hard to Love Series, however can be read as a standalone. If you want to get your first glimpse of Ian and Kenzie then pick up Hard to Love #1 but totally not needed. Cade and Alexa's best friends sure do have a story to tell!

I loved this book. Anything that has one sexy as sin MMA fighter is right down my Ally! Ian is our fighter in this book and is training for his upcoming big fight in Vegas. His chance to bust out into the circuit and his first real large crowd fight. He so very sweet and extremely caring, did I mention HOT?

MacKenzie, or Kenzie as we know her through most of the story worked as a nurse at a local hospital and was laid off. Ian was able to get her a job at the gym he trains at (however Kenzie doesnt know that). She is beautiful, smart and sweet and very self-sufficient. Never grew up having a stable home or much of anything, or anyone to really love as a child in the foster system. The closest person she has ever had is her best friend Alexa.

Kenzie and Ian have met in the past. When Ian blew Kenzies advances off for training reasons, but she just assumes he blew her off to be an ass, things with them have been strained. They both want each other and don't act upon it. She gives him the cold shoulder, he assumes she doesn't want him, but boy how they are both oh so wrong.

I absolutely loved this story line. The sexual tension was so freakin hot. Plus the way everything transpired, Kenzie's selfless acts to help others including his sister and even Ian himself unknowingly made me love her to pieces.

I loved both characters; nothing was over the top and a very believable story between two insanely sexy characters. There was love, hope, heartache, yearning and angst. The story has some twists and turns which makes it a great read. A very easy read! I cant wait for the next book! 4.5 Stars!

~ 4.5 Hard Not to Love Stars ~

This series of books really should've been called Hard Not To Love instead of Hard to Love, because both Cade and now Ian are AMAZING!!!! You can't help but fall in love with these two men.

So let me ask you this, what do you get when you mix a MMA fighter with Kendall Ryan??? You get one OUTSTANDING book!!!! With every book I read by Kendall, she just solidifies why she is one of my favorite automatic read authors. I will stop what I am reading just to read her new releases!! Her writing style, to me, is flawless and spot on. She always gives us just the right amount of detail to make us feel everything the characters are feeling without weighing the story down. Anytime I pick up a Kendall Ryan book, I know I am in for a great book. One that will bring out many of emotions, but will also leave me happy and with a smile on my face. Reckless Love was no different. And let me tell you…Kendall knows how to bring on the steam. A fan is definitely necessary when reading her books ;)

In Reckless Love we meet Ian and MacKenzie. I have to be honest and say I don't remember them in the first book , Hard to Love, but I read that one so long ago, that with the background of these two characters and how they are linked to Cade and Alexa, I am sure they were probably in the first book. With that said, this can totally be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading the first book just to give you the backstory on Cade and Alexa, because they do play a big part in this book. But if you don't want to, you will for sure be fine reading this without it. Kendall does a great job connecting the dots and filling in any spaces you might miss with not reading book 1.

Ian and MacKenzie were amazing characters, but truly had serious issues with communication. A lot of their problems could've been solved had they just talked to each other. But then we wouldn't have a story that was filled with angst and sexual tension. I will say I was a little surprised by the direction Kendall went in this book. I don't want to ruin anything, but because she went in this direction I couldn't give it a full 5 stars. It is something I just don't really enjoy in my books. But with that said, don't let that deter you from reading this book, because I truly did LOVE this book aside for those two aspects.

I would recommend this book 100%. Kendall Ryan really can do no wrong when it comes to her writing. Even when she adds elements I normally don't enjoy, she still is able to create a story that totally sucks me in and doesn't let go. I end up loving the book in the end :)

So if you are looking for that MMA fighter love story that will warm your heart and melt your panties, then you should definitely give Reckless Love a chance!!!!

I didn't have to fight to get through this one. Loved it!

I’m not really into books about fighters. I know, I know… My brain makes some connection to Chuck Liddell and just can’t get past it. Needless to say, I was a little apprehensive about picking up Reckless Love. Turns out, I didn’t need to worry at all. It took me a chapter or two before I realized that this was the sequel to Hard to Love (What can I say? I’m a little slow) and by that time I was hooked!

Ian wasn’t at all what I expected him to be. When you think of a UFC/MMA fighter what are some adjectives that come to mind? Hard, tough, rough, disciplined, man-whore… While Ian is definitely the first four, number five doesn’t fit him. At all. The man is pretty much a sexual saint. Fighting comes first, and I guess sex makes you weak in the knees. Can’t have that.

Mackenzie works as the “gym nurse” at a local MMA gym. (You may remember her from the first book in the series, Hard to Love. She worked with Alexa at the hospital.) She also happens to have the hots for Ian. He’s already blown her off once, and she doesn’t plan to give him a chance to do it again. Instead she settles for Chris, the gym’s owner. He’s an ex-fighter who sustained an injury to his leg which prevented him from furthering his career. Now he simply trains other fighters, including Ian. Naturally Ian isn’t thrilled with Mackenzie’s new relationship, but there’s not much he can do about it. When Ian injures himself in a fight, Mackenzie steps up to help with his recovery and the sparks fly. Things get complicated, Mackenzie makes horrible choices, and things take a turn from bad to worse.

"I tasted metal and salt in his mouth; he tasted like a fighter. Brutal and powerful and strong."

I have written this is countless reviews and I’ll do it again: Communication is key! If these characters - specifically Mackenzie - had just communicated with one another, a lot of unnecessary drama could have been avoided. Then again, it would have made for an extremely boring story if they had. The more of Kendall Ryan’s work I read, the more I like her. I love the easy flow of her words. I never feel like I have to force myself to get through one of her books – total brownie points there. The characters infuriate you and yet you are almost forced to love them. Plus,the sex is hot.

Reckless Love definitely ranks high on my Kendall Ryan book love list. If you’ve read Hard to Love, you need to read this one. If you haven’t, you STILL need to read it. Basically, what I’m saying is: READ IT!

I am actually still in the process of using this text, but so far it has been very helpful. This was required text for a graduate course in Instructional Design and even if I had not been taking this course, I would still recommend this text simply because of the detail it provides and step-by-step method it uses to teach Instructional Design. If you are a new instructor looking for a text to help guide you through the design of a course, or already a designer looking for a desk reference to help with keeping everything in perspective or making explaining what you mean to others simpler, this text is definitely worth the purchase.

I used this book throughout my graduate coursework and definitely recommend it as a foundational text for beginning instructional designers and educators. The book does a great job of explaining ID theory in a systematic and easy-to-follow manner. I decided to keep this book even after I completed my degree and I still refer to it frequently when working on projects.
